Today (November 4) we visited the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath on the banks of the holy Bagmati River, and the Buddhist temple of Bodhnath Stupa (next image)..
Pashupatinath (next few images) is a series of shrines and temples, some 1600 years old, that include cremation sites. Cremation is a public event. Several bodies were burning at our visit and the smell of wood smoke is pervasive.
