Last Day in Kathmandu

On our last day, we visted two ancient cities that have now been subsumed by Kathmandu's sprawl. Bhaktapur and Patan.

Bhaktapur was once the capital of Nepal until the second half of the 15th century. Some of the construction goes back to the the 7th century. It consists of palaces, temples and bathing ponds. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. Patan is similar but less extensive.
The first picture below is from Patan. The rest are from Bhaktapur.
